Pitbull – AKA Mr. Worldwide – has built his career with iconic hits, each surpassing the last.
The September-released digital album LIBERTAD 548, marked Pitbull’s first album as an independent artist. Now, Pitbull is releasing the physical version of LIBERTAD 548, which will include two new bonus tracks. The album was produced by Pitbull and GRAMMY® award-winning producers IAmChino and Jorge Gomez, along with Jimmy Joker. LIBERTAD 548, is being released under Pitbull’s own label, Mr. 305 Records.
“Ocupado” ft. Flo Rida & Yomil y El Dany and “Cantare” ft. Lenier are two new bonus tracks available on the physical album December 6th and on all digital platforms on December 13th. True to form, LIBERTAD 548 is filled with yet more successful collaborations undertaken by Pitbull. The current single, from the album, “Me Quedaré Contigo” ft. Ne-Yo and Cuba’s Lenier & El Micha has over 15 million global streams. It’s chorus, which translates into “I will stay with you, I will steal all of Cupid’s arrows,” has conquered the hearts of fans worldwide with impactful and emotional lyrics. With a total of 4 songs in English, Pitbull continues to deliver new rhythms and sounds while continuing to grow in the mainstream market.
The album, LIBERTAD 548, represents freedom. The title is an homage to Pitbull’s father who courageously rescued 548 Cuban refugees during the 1980 Mariel Boatlift, ushering these brave individuals to “Libertad”. Musically, it continues a liberated theme as well. Among its 15 tracks is the lead single “No Lo Trates” with Daddy Yankee and Natti Natasha, an RIAA-certified 6x Platinum track that has reached more than 100 million global streams and over 180 million views on YouTube. Additionally, the trio simultaneously reached #1 on three Billboard charts: Latin Rhythm Airplay, Latin Pop Airplay and Latin Airplay. “3 to Tango,” the second single from LIBERTAD 548, produced by Johan Carlsson (Ariana Grande, Avril Lavigne, Sabrina Carpenter), surprised fans with a cameo by John Travolta in the video, which premiered on MTV Live and on the iconic Viacom billboard in Times Square. The single “3 to Tango” was released in August and has reached more than 6 million-plus streams and more than 15 million streams on YouTube.
You can also find featured artists such as Wisin & Yandel on «Moviendolo,» along with Becky G on the sexy single «Mala.» Prince Royce and Ludacris appear on “Tell Me Again,” the English version of his hit “Quiero Saber.”
