Anthony Hopkin will lend his voice to the episode of the Apple series, which will delve into the issues surrounding returning to work

Apple’s Mythic Quest is headed back to the office.
The comedy series will debut a standalone episode about the team’s return to work ahead of the show’s season two premiere on Apple TV+. The half-hour special, titled «Everlight,» will feature the voice of guest star Anthony Hopkins and follow the Mythic Quest team as they return to work.
The special, set to premiere April 16, follows the May 2020 «Quarantine» episode that was shot entirely on iPhones and raised more than half a million dollars for charity.
«‘Everlight’ is a special episode that addresses the practical and emotional difficulties of returning to normalcy,» said series co-creator and star Rob McElhenney, who directed the special. «It’s full of hope and joy and optimism for a bright future. Ahead of our upcoming second season, we felt it was the perfect way (and the perfect time) to invite the audience back into the world of Mythic Quest.»
Added Apple TV+ head of programming Matt Cherniss, «Rob and the entire Mythic Quest team have created a beloved cast of characters that have struck a chord with audiences around the world. After hitting it out of the park with their extraordinary ‘Quarantine’ special episode, we couldn’t wait for viewers to experience their unique take on another topical and universally relatable moment — returning to the office — ahead of the season two launch on May 7.»
«Everlight» will follow the Mythic Quest team as they return to the office to celebrate the company’s annual Everlight party, where Poppy (Charlotte Nicdao) and Ian (McElhenney) rig a live-action role play tournament for an underdog. Writer and cast member Ashly Burch penned the episode.
Mythic Quest began production on season two in November and faced multiple positive COVID-19 tests among cast and crew, including an outbreak that stopped production for a couple of weeks.
«We knew that nothing was 100 percent safe and if we were going to make the decision to go back to work, we could do the best we could do,» McElhenney told reporters in February. «But unfortunately certain things are just uncontrollable, especially if you’re finding that you can’t police everybody all the time.»
