The first episode features up & coming Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Calma Carmona
Latido Music, which is celebrating its first anniversary, premiered this week the new artist hosted VJ series MixTape. The new 1-hour original content series will feature the best new and popular Latin artists, sharing their favorite video playlists with fans.
The first episode features Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Calma Carmona. Influenced by soul sounds and inspired by Tina Turner, Sade, Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, Carmona first came onto the music scene in 2013. The promising young artist was voted MTV Iggy Artist of the Week, and would later be honored as the opening act for Beyoncé‘s The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour in Puerto Rico.
The series which premiered this week will broadcast new episodes every Tuesday on the Latido Music channel. Upcoming episodes will feature Mr. Pauer (July 14th), Providencia (July 21st), Yannc (July 28th) and the Puerto Rican trio known for their collaboration with Latin Trap Superstar Bad Bunny, Los Rivera Destino (August 4th). Each episode will air every Tuesday at 6:00PM EST on the Latido Music channel via connected TV (Samsung TV Plus, TIVO, Vizio and Xumo), as well as Apple TV, Roku, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV.
Last month, Latido Music introduced a new space for independent artists called Room Service at Home, a special edition series where audiences can enjoy music performances straight from the intimacy of artists’ homes. The episodes can be seen every Thursday at 6:00PM EST), in the Room Service YouTube Channel. In addition, as part of a new original content strategy, Latido Music is set to premiere yet another original content programming series later this month, “El Principio”, who’s first episode will feature Reggaeton legend and urban genre female pioneer, Ivy Queen.
