Mexican icon superstar, Gloria Trevi, receives her first nomination for a Latin GRAMMY® in the category of “Best Pop Song” for her collaboration on “La Mujer” with Chilean Latin GRAMMY® winner Mon Laferte. The Latin Recording Academy announced the nominees for the twenty-second annual Latin GRAMMY® ceremony, which will be held on Thursday, November 18th in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be broadcasted live on Univision.
This nomination by The Latin Recording Academy arrives while Trevi continues gaining success from her most recent single “Nos Volvimos Locos” featuring Guaynaa, a single made as part of a global campaign by Zumba® and its ZIN® community, who have been performing the successful single in their Zumba classes across 186 countries.
For a woman who has continued inspiring and reinventing herself year after year, 2021 is no exception. Her music has been unstoppable and has received multiple recognitions for her journey and her philanthropic labor. Her music has yet to disappoint, as in addition to the “Best Pop Song” nominated “La Mujer” alongside Mon Laferte, she has also collaborated in “No Eres Tú” with Jennifer Roja and “Mudanza de Hormiga” with María León. About her first nomination, Gloria Trevi expressed in her official Instagram account, «First of all, thanks to my friends/fans who are happy for this nomination and congratulations to my precious @monlaferte who deserves all the credit.»
