One of the Top 10 most listened to female artists in Mexico of 2020 on Spotify, Gloria Trevi celebrates Christmas tradition with a new video “Ven A Mi Casa Esta Navidad”, a single included in the Christmas compilation “Eterna Navidad: Celebremos.” The single is available on all digital music platforms, meanwhile its music video is available on Eterna Navidad’s official YouTube channel.
“Ven A Mi Casa Esta Navidad” is an iconic song whose original version was released 50 years ago by composer Luis Aguilé and to this day, continues to be a Christmas classic favorite. This year, Trevi had the opportunity to record this song and bring joy this holiday season, which according to her, will be different compared to others. “Due to the pandemic, we probably won’t be able to get together with our families, like we do every year. However, we must remember and be grateful for those things that are important to us and our well being. Let’s invite everyone home this Christmas… but in a virtual way, taking care of each other and with the hope that next year we will be able to meet again,” expressed Trevi.
The music video was directed by Pantaya and included their holiday special “Celebremos: Eterna Navidad” which aired on Friday, December 4. The audiovisual production is characterized by its colors and Christmas essence. For the final version of the video, Trevi and the band filmed separately, combining everything they created for a unique version of the song that has accompanied different generations year after year.
As previously mentioned, this song is part of the Christmas compilation “Eterna Navidad: Celebremos”, which features some of today’s biggest Latin artists signing some favorite Christmas classics. This album, whose origin and concept is seen in one of the most successful Christmas albums in Mexico and Latin America in recent times «Eterna Navidad» (1986), seeks to preserve the traditional Christmas essence in families, with a mix of current sounds and musical genres that are adapted to the present through the voice of some of the most influential artists of today such as Juanes, Alejandro Fernández, La Adictiva, Tigres del Norte, among others.
