In an online concert presented by URSA Live, women artists are collaborating to fund women entrepreneurs through Whole Planet Foundation in honor of International Women’s Day.
2021 GRAMMY-nominee Debi Nova from Costa Rica will join forces with singer and actress Andy Allo, star of the Amazon Original series Upload, GRAMMY-nominated Irish singer-songwriter RuthAnne and recording artist Whitney McClain to raise awareness and funds for poverty alleviation.
«In 2015, I was happy to perform at the Whole Planet Foundation pre-GRAMMY Party in Los Angeles and learned how Whole Planet Foundation empowers women and families in Costa Rica and around the world. This year, I am excited to visit local women entrepreneurs near my home in Guanacaste who are funded through their microfinance partner, Asociacion Costa Rica Grameen. These women are strong and resilient especially during the challenges of the pandemic. They have superpowers like in my song “Superpoderes”. I can’t wait to perform the song and dedicate it to women superheroes everywhere on International Women’s Day!” – Debi Nova
The virtual concert takes place March 7th from 6-8pm CST with $10 General Admission tickets. Also, before the concert starts, fans and supporters can virtually meet the artists via limited $35 VIP Meet & Greet tickets.
Proceeds benefit Whole Planet Foundation’s microlending programs to alleviate poverty for women entrepreneurs in the United States and 76 other countries.
