Puerto Rican Artist, Songwriter and Producer Mora joined Natti Natasha to produce the hot new and racy track
With a highly anticipated premiere on the horizon last night, global star Natti Natasha broke the internet. After being censored by video platforms, Natti decided to premiere her provocative new video “Algarete” on her official website, nattinatasha.com. With already an overwhelming demand for her premiere on socials, over a half million fans tuned in during the first 15 minutes of the premiere, causing the webpage to collapse. The website crash led Natti to premiere the video on Instagram, while the issue was being resolved. The track was inspired by a night out in Paris, where Natti felt completely free and liberated, reliving those unforgettable late nights with friends. As Natti‘s mind began to wander down memory lane, her musical muse struck and Natti began to hum a song’s hook. Without hesitating, and in a matter of just a few hours, she reached out to Mora from Paris with the idea for the song which struck a chord with the urban producer who got to work immediately on the track.
This track is part of a new chapter in Natti Natasha’s career where she not only uses her music to light up dance floors around the world, but continues to liberate and empower women through her lyrics. On this track, the Dominican powerhouse Natti Natasha refers to the popular Puerto Rican term “algarete”, which refers to a person doing something extremely crazy or out of the norm, to describe a “no holds barred” night out with friends.
“It’s a song that I dedicate to those who, although they no longer have the same opportunity to go out as before, when they do, they have the chance to relive their years of intense partying. With this track, the nights in Paris really inspired me and you can feel the same vibe I felt when I first got the idea for the song,” expressed Natti Natasha, who assures that working with Mora brought the track to another level.
Directed by Rodrigo Films and filmed in Miami, the video concept involved a sensual movie set filled with different night pleasures, including a VIP area with strippers and exotic dancers. With Las Vegas-style neon lights, the video shows a sensual and free side of Natti.
Natti Natasha kicked off 2023 with her single “TO’ ESTO ES TUYO” which was the fastest growing song in the Dominican Republic. The track led different charts including Monitor Latino’s Hot Songs – General, debuted in the Top 2 in Spotify Nicaragua, Panamá and Dominican Republic. Most recently, Natti was nominated for the Latin American Music Awards 2023 for “Collaboration of the Year”, “Best Collaboration Pop/Urban” for “Mayor Que Usted”, and “Best Urban Artist”. Natti also announced her participation as co-host of this year’s Latin AMAs which will air live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 20 at 7PM ET/7PM CT.
