The merge strengthens the new multi-platform media company
The GoDigital Media Group, a California based entertainment industry technology company, announced Today the acquisition of Mitú, an addition that will strengthen Latido Networks, its media division, in its efforts to super-serve the all-important LatinX digital consumer with high-engagement entertainment.
“Media companies simply cannot be relevant going forward without a strong foundation in the United States LatinX community. The acquisition of Mitú makes our foundation much stronger”, says Jason Peterson, CEO of GoDigital Media Group.
Mitú, founded in 2012, is the leader media platform connecting brands, content buyers, and creators to LatinX in the United States. Adding Mitú to Latido Networks gives LatinX consumers an incredible variety of entertainment choices across the platforms and devices they prefer, at a consistently high level of quality. It also gives brands a one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage with these consumers through media and content across platforms.
“We are excited to welcome Mitú into the Latido Networks family. Leveraging our combined audience, content production expertise and distribution footprint will unlock substantial value for Mitú, Latido Music and our other media brands”, says Stephen Brooks, President of Latido Networks.
“Digital consumers are omnivores whether it’s social media, YouTube, audio, long-form or short-form digital. Adding Mitú to Latido Networks is an important dish to a full-course digital meal”, added Brooks.
The GoDigital Media Group features independent label Cinq Music, which specializes in Latin, Urban and mainstream genres; digital rights management company AdShare; digital supply chain company ContentBridge; and digital media holding company Latido Networks, where Mitú will coexist, with 24/7 connected TV channel Latido Music, YouTube Latin music-focused MCN VidaPrimo and Latido’s interest in multicultural podcast company reVolver Podcasts.
