Mariachi-pop singer, Ingrid Contreras, shares a women's perspective journey to reconstruction in her new single

Grammy® Winner and Top charting producer, composer, arranger Luciano Luna is the mastermind behind “No Mereces Que Te Quiera”

Today, mariachi-pop singer Ingrid Contreras releases her new single and video “No Mereces Que Te Quiera,” (You Don’t Deserve My Love). The track portrays a journey of self-reflection, reconstruction and independence from a woman’s perspective. Released under Showbusiness, the single is available on all digital music platforms. The video is available on Contreras’ official YouTube channel.

Remaining true to Contreras’ of women empowerment, “No Mereces Que Te Quiera,” produced by Ramón Marchena, is a song that describes a women’s path to evolution and independence. The mastermind behind the track is Grammy® Award winning producer, composer, arranger Luciano Luna, who has achieved endless #1’s on Billboard top charts with artists such as Banda El Recodo, Banda MS, Joss Favela and Los Horóscopos de Durango, among others.

“No Mereces Que Te Quiera,” music video was recorded in one single take in Norwalk, California, and takes Contreras on a journey of self-reflection where she uses daily routines, finding strength on her way to reconstruction. Her drive to empower women prevails as she sends an important message to women worldwide – ‘never forget your worth’. The video instills indirect metaphors during the phases of heartbreak; a tractor to emphasize the upward turn and the watering of plants symbolizes the growth and rebirth of a fondly independent woman. Showcasing her true essence in her music style and roots, Contreras demonstrates the importance of self-love.

Her previous single and video, “Me Voy Amándote,” was written and produced by ASCAP “Songwriter of the Year” Joss Favela, which defines a new way for all women and men to speak out and revel in self-love. This past July, Contreras celebrated her first nomination at Premios Juventud in the category of “Best Mariachi-Ranchera Song” for her single, “Pobre Corazón” and “New Generation – Regional Mexican”. She also presented a category for the first time on a national TV award show alongside Chiquis Rivera. Recently, Contreras was featured in People Español’s Sept. edition for her fashion and beauty sense.
