Sitting on the global success of his recent single “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex Remix”, the doors continue to open for KHEA as he drops his next single.
“KELOKE,” released via Interscope Records and Young Flex, is a ballad that fuses romance with melodic pop sensibilities, with the characteristic touch of KHEA creating a unique and refreshing sound that unveils the Latin Trap star’s versatility. The single is available on all digital music platforms and the video on KHEA’s YouTube channel.
With every successful hit, KHEA explores different sounds and with “KELOKE”, the artist delivers an acoustic, soft and romantic single. The Argentine icon shows his vulnerability and sings about unrequited love and the demons that come with it. He doesn’t understand what the woman he is interested in is thinking about, who at the end, results in being a toxic woman. “I love this song because I am showcasing a different side of me, and I enjoy making different styles of music in order to reach different audiences. It’s a short song but it’s filled with lots of emotion… you’ll enjoy it,” expressed KHEA about the new single that was produced by Albert Hype and Jota Rosa.
A masterful production, the music video was directed and edited by Facundo Ballve. Filmed in Buenos Aires, KHEA sets the scene in a bar surrounded by many strange characters and a woman who is observing him from afar. As the song progresses, it’s shown how these characters represent the demons that torment the artist and then disappear into thin air. In the end, KHEA also disappears, and a dark secret about the woman is revealed.
The rising artist released the new single on the heels of the global success “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex Remix” with bachata legend Prince Royce and superstar Natti Natasha. The single became an anthem for many, closing the gap between genres with a perfect combination between urban music and bachata. The remix debuted at #50 on Billboard’s Global Excl. US list and #77 on the Global 200 list. In less than 24 hours of its release, it reached #1 on YouTube in Argentina and Uruguay; #2 in Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Peru and Paraguay; #3 in Colombia and Panama; and #4 in Chile, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Honduras and Puerto Rico. In addition, the song has reached more than 13 million streams on Spotify and more than 60 million views on YouTube.
The original version of “Ayer Me Llamó Mi Ex” took over the top charts and landed on the Top 50 Global on Spotify and has accumulated more than 100 million streams on the platform. The music video has also received more than 112 million views on YouTube.
