“RELACIÓN” CONTINUES TO TREND, NOW SURPASSING 200 MILLION STREAMS AND VIEWS SIMULTANEOUSLY ACROSS DIGITAL PLATFORMS
As fans drove speculation of a new remix collab on social media last weekend, Panamanian sensation Sech has set the stage for yet another massive global hit! Today the chart-topping singer-songwriter dropped the highly anticipated “Relacion (Remix)”, joined by an All-star cast including Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Rosalia and Farruko.
Produced by Billboard Producer of the Year Dimelo Flow, Slow Mike and Cerebro, the track combines Sech’s undeniable rhythmic flow and lyrical tone, alongside a catchy reggaeton-infused beat that produced stellar performances by the superstar cast.
The video was directed by acclaimed director Fernando Lugo and was filmed in Miami, FL. The “out of this world” concept tells the story of two astronauts that descend to an unknown planet. There, the man and woman reveal the truth about their feelings to one another before leaving behind everything that binds them to a world full of meaningless and insignificant rules. Sech narrates the journey to discovery through a series of visual worlds represented by the imagery and performance of each artist. As both astronauts travel through the new world, the female is confronted by the reality of her lover’s past. The journey takes them both through a moment of retrospection, empowering the woman through a series of visions to move from the past, forgive and embrace the future, at the end recognizing that “now, everything has changed”.
Bringing the powerhouse talent on board for the collaboration was all about faith. “The remix came to me suddenly, as an idea that just popped into my head. I heard several colleagues really liked the song. The first to come on board was Balvin. After that, although I was a little hesitant about reaching out, I decided to let faith take the lead. When I heard DY liked the song, I reached out to his management and worked to make it happen. Then, my Producer, Dimelo Flow, told me he heard Farruko’s voice on another part, and from there Farru came onboard, then Rosalia. The truth is, this is something really, really beautiful for me, and I’m extremely humbled,» expressed Sech.
Stemming from the success of his #1 debut album “Sueños” and its #1 Global smash hit “Otro Trago”, Sech kicked off 2020 with his first headlining tour and five Billboard Latin Music Award nominations. He collaborated with reggaeton heavyweights on some of the hottest tracks of the year, including #1 radio singles “Definitivamente” with Daddy Yankee and “Sigues con El” with Arcangel.
