The mexican superstar Gloria Trevi will drive us crazy alongside Guaynaa

«Gloria Trevi is one of the most iconic female figures in Latin music, she has managed to beat time with her proposals in order to maintain a certain validity with her collaborations with the exponents of the new generation». – LA Times en Español

Her greatness and influence have led her to position herself as one of the most important artists in the music industry and it is no surprise since her perseverance speaks for itself. For the Mexican superstar, Gloria Trevi, the evolution of music has not been an impediment, on the contrary, she has adapted to all kinds of changes that have come her way and  found herself remaining true to the sounds she had in the beginning of her career several decades ago. Tody, she teams up with rising star Guaynaa to release the fiery track “Nos Volvimos Locos,” under Universal Music Latin. In addition, last night Trevi and Guaynaa surprised the public with the world premiere of their new single at the 18th annual edition of Premios Juventud, which took place at the Watsco Center in Miami, Florida and was broadcast on the Univision network.

Produced by YoFred (Ozuna), Eduardo Bladinieres and Gil Elguezabal, the song was written by Gloria Trevi alongside the Latin GRAMMY®-winning artist and former member of the renowned Mexican duo Sin Bandera, Leonel García, and Marcela de la Garza (Thalía, Paulina Rubio). With a catchy and danceable rhythm, the single is made up of “crazy” sounds that unite the freshness of current music with the very distinctive and powerful sounds of Trevi that will surely drive more than one crazy. During the song, both artists respond to each other with their part of the lyrics, making it interactive and fun. “Ya nos volvimos locos, ya nos descontrolamos, esto es tan diferente / existe el riesgo de enamorarnos” (We have already gone crazy, we have already lost control, this is so different / there is a risk of falling in love), says part of the song.

The music video was filmed in Miami, Florida and was directed by Pablo Croce. In the video, Trevi ends up walking down a dangerous alley after a date that ended badly. She ends up surrounded by three gangs that met to fight for their territories, the scene was inspired by the 70s movie «The Warriors.» Guaynaa, as the leader of the “Los Heladeros” gang, was dazzled when he saw Gloria Trevi. Both Trevi and Guaynaa managed to turn the dramatic scene into a street party where everyone dances and eats ice creams, which later melted due to the hot and sensual dancing of Trevi. With this they wanted to convey a message of inclusion and diversity where gangs come together and accept each other as they are.

This past year, Gloria Trevi received El Premio a la Trayectoria Musical in the 33rd annual edition of Premio Lo Nuestro, which honored her career that has influenced and transcended through three generations of fans. Similarly, at the beginning of the month she received the “Compromiso Award» in the sixth edition of the HEAT Latin Music Awards, for the work she has done through her Ana Dalai foundation. Trevi provides support to homeless children in Mexico and the United States to contribute with their well-being and development. She also supported communities affected by COVID-19 through her Ana Dalai foundation and her partnership with México Artesanal, providing job opportunities to more than 400 Mexicans with the production of limited edition masks, inspired by the most emblematic themes of her career.

Gloria Trevi will soon announce the new date for her performance in the National Auditorium of Mexico City, with the hopes of filling it to capacity as she previously accomplished with her “Diosa de la Noche” tour, which was placed in the Top 10 of Pollstar’s LIVE75, becoming one of the most successful tours in the world based on box office revenue and tickets sold. Stay tuned!
